I believe this little house is the oldest extant building in Austin and it is a beautiful example of mid 19th century architecture. Often overlooked by locals and seldom seen by visitors it is worthy of your time and only about two minutes from downtown. More

Although this attraction is small, it is beautifully situated just East of Downtown. The folks who work here can provide a wealth of information into the history of the home. This spot is an interesting reminder that Texas was once its own country. Suggested for people with an interest in history. More
