We took our daughter because she is crazy about horses! We were surprised by how much we learned. The museum does an excellent job of sharing the immense history of quarter horses.

Very nice place to visit if you like or have horses. Gives details of the history of the horse in America and Famous horses and breeding lines.
This was a refreshing educational experience. The cost was $6, which is under priced for the amount of education and experience one can obtain. One could spend hours reading and admiring the exhibits as well as the art displays. The museum has plenty of room for all to enjoy the beauty of each section for as long as they like....

This is a beautiful showcase for the American quarter horse. The building is gorgeous, and the sculptures were a marvel, I loved the history of the bloodlines and seeing the evolution of the breed. Absolutely recommend stopping for a couple of hours if you are anywhere around Amarillo.
Any one into horses will want to stop here for sure. Great stop for young and old alike. I never miss this stop when I am in town.
My husband has a long history with quarter horses so he enjoyed all the historical information and could identify with the horse lines and owners. It was an education for me since I do not have the same history. This facility is so beautiful and upscale. Nice gift shop.
Learning as a child how to ride a horse bareback as a child has always been a wonderful memory-(thank you Kay). So over the years growing up I have always been amazed by the amazing grace of horses.
