Opted for Blum rather than Duncan (the biggie because it is the only house actually designed by Wright, others by apprentice) because on the website it looked cozier. Glad I chose it. Duncan house is situated against a low rise so its view is of dirt and rocks...Blum's wall-to-wall window overlooks the highlands all the way to the blue-grey Alleghenies... More

What a wonderful house! We stayed two nights in the Duncan House, a Wright Usonian that was moved from Lisle, IL and placed in a beautiful woodlawn setting. Huge boulders dot the landscape and deer were seen meandering in the woods next to the house. The house has a gorgeous stone fireplace and has been furnished in keeping with the... More

If you want to really experience organic architecture in Wright style, I highly recommend a night at Blum House. It's pricey, but if you're going to splurge, this is a great place to do it and it's the least costly of the three houses. I liked the Blum house best of the three. It has a great living room and... Treetops restaurant at the Polymath Park Resort has a fabulous Sunday Brunch filled with fresh, innovative cuisine. Our tour group of 15 was very nicely accomodated and well served. There was smoked salmon, meatloaf with wild mushrooms, quiche, an incredible stuffed french toast that was so rich it required no syrup, shrimp, southern biscuits and sausage gravy that were less spicy... If you are a follower of FLW then this review will echo what previous reviewers have posted. What I can add is that our tour guide was one of the owners of the park and a cool lady. At each building [x4] our guide would give a brief overview and then turn her guests loose to tour the building and... More

My wife and I and 5 friends stayed for two nights in the Duncan House (designed by Frank Lloyd Wright) and Balter House (designed by on of Wright's apprentices) in the Polymath Park Resort. in late July. We all gathered there on the first evening, had some wine, looked things over and then went out for dinner. We spent the... More

This is the third Frank Lloyd Wright house I have had the privelege to stay in. Its cool to be able to stay all night in a place others take tours of during the day. The Duncan House did not have the total authenticity of the Haynes House when it came to furnishings but it was hard to believe that... More

I just returned from a weekend at the Duncan House with friends. If you, like us, are interested in Frank Lloyd Wright and going to Falling Water then this is the place for you! You can see one and stay in one. How lucky is that? The house is an original that was moved to this spot. It is in... More

Stayed in Balter House with some friends. The house is fantastic looking and in a very beautiful setting, but it is a bit more rustic than expected, especially for the price. It felt much more like a cabin and I felt much more like I was camping. As mentioned in prior reviews, there are a lot of bugs in the... More
