Very typical Roman theater of the type often found in southwestern Turkey. We had already seen about a dozen in the past week, so please excuse me for not spending more than 10 minutes here. Yes, it is still remarkably complete. Why the Turks don't currently use these theaters and stadiums, I'll never know. More

Concerts used to happen here on a regular basis every summer, I hope they return as the noise of the road disappears in the thrill of sitting on the stones listening to music or watching a dance. More

you will see it driving on the main road, and compared to the one in Ephesus, really not a must. More

This Amphitheater has seen better days ,but it still worth a look as its very old and is part of Bodrums history. More

The ampitheatre is a little way out of town on the main road towards Bitez/Gumbet. Although it has benn quite well excavated there are so many other ampitheaters in Turkey with a lot more to see. My title says it all, really. After touring sooo many places up the coast in Turkey, this one is not worth stopping at. İ ve read an info before going there, it was built by Rodos army... Just those who likes history will find this place very interesting. İts huge! Just cant imagine it was built 5 centures ago! Besides, it was restored by Turkcell n Ericsson in Turkey. More
