Trust me, don't take the main underwater causeway to the island, which is on the left when facing the island, the route on the right is much easier. I made the mistake of walking across fully clothed with a backpack, and came back completely soaked - no biggie in the heat - with a backpack full of soggy clothes, a... More

Why go here? There may be rabbits somewhere on this island, but the island itself is very small and of no special interest and the rabbits sensibly hide when loud tourist boats approach. It's just another stop on the way round the peninsula that's all.

A short trip by dolmus to this fishing village,a typical 'Shirley Valentine' village. The ruins to the old medieval village destroyed by earthquake are half a metre beneath the sea,it really is a paradise village but you would need gallons of anti-mosquito cream to stay overnight. But you need to visit if you get the chance.

It may be the time of year but the island is fenced off at the moment and will probably remain so as archaeological excavations continue of the ruins on the island. Also ask the locals about the easiest way to get there. The old causeway to the island is less an underwater path and more like an underwater assault course.

Just few minutes from Yalikavak by local bus, from Bodrum from main bus station to Gumusluk. A small village with the most famous fish restaurants in the area. It is really worth visiting especially evening times. Hmmmm just perfect place. A small island - Rabbit Island, if you are lucky maybe you will see some of rabbits there. The island... More

we took the bus from Bodrum to Gumseluk. The ride was interesting, and the little village along the water was very picturesque, although there is not much there other than restaurants and hotels. We had some trouble finding the underwater ruins, but all at once we looked up and saw people walking on the water and knew we were there.... More
