Very easy to get to (monorail to Chow Kit station). The stalls/shops line the street under the monorail lines & around the food market itself, which is well worth experiencing alone.

The market is a nice place to walk around and get a feel for a local markt. Definitely different from an European market. For example at the meat section there will be no doubt about what meat used to be.
