I took the train from Osaka Station (well, Umeda Station to be exact) to Minoh. There was a transfer, but it wasn't too hard, and only took about 25 minutes to get there. The park is easy to get to from the train station.

you NEED a car to enjoy this park..there are so many walking trails, hidden picnic spots, historic villages ( on route 423 ), a beautiful temple ( katsuoji ), a fantastic shrine ( myoko san ) wild monkeys, snakes and more...it is only 30 minutes from central osaka ( just take the shim mido suji ) and it definitely worth...

This is probably a nice place in autumn based on the photos we saw. However, during Cherry Blossom season, this place is a let down.
