Dotonbori is so cool. I felt like my inner child was brought out with all the lights and signs. Giant moving crabs, big blow up balloons in the shape of puffer fish and octopus, ornate dragons....you name it, Dotonbori's got it. Also too, the Glico man is cool to see lit up. The lights are so bright that it almost... More

We got the train from Kyoto to Shin-Osaka, walked through Diamaru, straight into the most amazing sights ever. The fantastic signs, the food...everything you can imagine, the fashion shops....so gorgeous! We were there for hours and I don't think we saw everything, so put aside a whole day and part of the night to take in everything in this fasinating... More

Great street food and people watching, as for shopping not so great, not many deals. Stay with the street food, ramen stands etc.. skip the restaurants.

This cafe/shopping street and its surrounds are well-worth a wander if not a udon lunch in one of the many noodle cafes which abound in the district. It is a short walk from the main Namba railway station and underground trains

This place is simply amazing! Food, shopping, performances, lights, fashion! Hundreds of eateries and shops to explore. The best things to eat at Dotonbori, in my opinion is, ramen, and especially, takoyaki. The takoyaki I tried was at this building with a huge red octopus, it was called Konamon Museum Takoyaki. There was a long queue but it was worth... More

The beautiful thing about Dotonbori are the lights, billboards and signboards. Its an exhilaration of Sight for photography here. You see Hanging blowfish, cows, dragons, snow crabs, Starbucks (yes, starbucks coffee) and Octopus. You will see LED/LCD signboards of various size such as the famed Glico Man and so on. This is Osaka's Equivalent of Tokyo's Shibuya. Cross the bridge you... More
