Visited late afternoon and found atmospere very peaceful. Higashi Honganji is about 5 minutes walk from Kyoto Tower Hotel.

This is a quiet and calm temple, with hardly any crowds, though easy to visit. There is no fee , its a lovely monument for a peaceful walk or a short period of meditation.
