Nunobiki falls are very pretty and worth a look if you enjoy short walks and picturesque scenery (and if you go when there are still some fall leaves around, it's even more picturesque). The walk up to the falls is right next to the train station, but if you happen to end up accidentally going in the complete opposite direction...

Nunobiki, to me, is less valuable as a destination in itself but is good as an off-the-beaten-path side trip that takes in not only the waterfalls but also the Park that sits above Kobe (and is accessible via cable car from Shin Kobe). It's not the most difficult hike in the world; it has steep sections, but not too much....
