A great way to learn about the history and culture associaated with one of China's most famous products. The exhibit are well laid out and nicely presented - in both Chinese and English (amazingly clear - no Chinglish here!). Best of all, admission is free. More

I would suggest this before heading out to shop for silk in Hangzhou. It gives you a real insight and appreciation for silk production. There is no charge and the exibits are endless. It's also in English!!!! More
