Interesting exhibits outdoors and a nice spot to wander around and good food stalls. The evening music show was good. We could've spent more time there - some of the exhibits weren't open as we got there late in the day. More

The Yunnan Nationalities Villages was one of the places we visited during our stay in Kunming. It is impossible for tourists to cover the whole Yunnan province in their short stay. The Yunnan Nationalities Villages have managed to represent and exhibit the history of the Yunnan people and the numerous ethnic groups with their own customs and architecture in about... More

The park is quite interesting, but for a foreigner it's impossible to understand without a translator (I had one). It's also VERY large and I could not handle seeing the entire park in one day. After 2 visits I still have not seen all of it! More

Confusing at first as it seemed the 'Village' was a bunch of shops selling a mixture of handicrafts, tea and plastic junk. We discovered that the Village was at the end of all this. Make sure you hire an electric car with a guide.. well worth it as its a huge area to cover. Pretty much a theme park but... More

In this vast village, each group of minority has a their place to introduce their culture. You can even visit Mongolian Pao and Tibetan temple here. People are wearing traditional costumes. There're a big hall for the show and so you may be able to enjoy their dancing or siging. But the everything was touristy and tacky. The minority there... More

Although a little far from reality, this Village gives you a nice overview of the various ethnic groups in China. More

Nationalities village is like a smaller and simpler version of Epcot. Entertaining with a chance to learn about ethnic minorities of Yunnan. However, so many little villages which consist of a similar routine can become tedious. If you have some time to spare in Kunming going to Nationalities Village can be a reasonable option. More
