As others have stated this may not be the cheapest place to shop in Guangzhou. Furthermore, there are a lot of international stores here so you may feel you could be "anywhere in the world". TeeMall is great if you're looking for Zara, H&M and McDonalds. There's also a Papa Johns if you crave pizza. But basically, it's just like any other big-brand mall you get anywhere else in the world. There are very few 'local' shops and you're unlikely to find much in the way of bargains.

Unless you are a fashionista and want to pay normal prices for the usual brands, don't bother going. The Starbucks in the Centre does not understand soy milk in coffee and otherwise I found the Centre soulless. Don't bother.

Full of people mindlessly wandering and not actually buying anything this place is a haven for mall zombies. The only reason I go here is to buy pillows from a stall vendor on the ground floor who has awesome pillows that are way cheaper than Ikea and better quality. An enormous, glitzy mall means high rents and equally over-priced retail prices. Expect all the famous domestic brands here, with a Jusco supermarket in the basement. Starbucks is a hangout for local posers. Teemall is a convenient place to meet your friends but there is not much of interest to keep you here. For more interesting shopping at better prices...
