This shopping strip was huge with lots of smelly little back alleys.lol Make sure you take a clothes peg for your nose and a tissue for your bottom as the public toilet stinks. But that is common in china public toilets. The shopping was fantastic though. Lots of cheap stuff. I spent the equivalent of 130 US dollars to get... More

This is a pedestrian shopping street which has mostly clothing stalls. The fashion here did not impress me. The key to this type of place is to pretend like you are not interested in buying a product, this will make bargaining very easy. Make sure you bargain the prices to at least half of what they are asking. Beware of... More

Grab your most comfortable pair of shoes and start shopping! You can take one whole day to finish walking this district. About the prices - the more centrally located the shop is, the higher the prices are. So if you walk farther to the outskirts of the streets, the opening prices can easily be half the opening prices in the... More

Mostly the same brand of shops every 100 meters. Very long stretch, be prepared to spend at least an hour for window shopping or just walking around. Better than going to the Beijing Lu street. More

A much more reasonably priced shopping street than Tian He or Beijing Lu. The main street has lots of the familiar domestic brands but the best bargains are to be had off side streets nearby. I like Wider Lenses (ask for Sweetie) on 260 Renmin Lu where you can get a pair of top quality frames and lenses for about... More

Skip beijing lu pedestrian mall which is a tourist trap with atrociously inflated prices. Instead, head straight for shangxiaju pedestrial shopping street (metro yellow line, stop at huangsha). prices here are so cheap that you dont even have to haggle. I paid Y45 for a bag here whereas at Beijing lu, the opening price for the same bag was Y240!... More

Deservedly popular and well-known destination for locals and many of their out-of-town visitors. Not as many foreign tourists as one would expect. This has become, esp. over the past few years, a vibrant Pedestrian-only Street full of interesting shops and quite a few good Restaurants. Savvy diners head for Tao Tao Ju, one of Guangzhou's oldest and most well-known Restaurants.... More
