I love zoos and animals. As an english student studying here for a semester, I couldn't wait to visit the St Petersburg Zoo, especially as it was such a good price for students, a group of 8 went. That´s the main reason I went there , because normally zoos aren´t a must for me , and I dont like to see animals kept in jails. Before going , I took a look at the zoo´s website and could see how organized and full of goals and projects that zoo was. There , I payed $350 rubros for entrance... More

By American standards, none of the zoos in Eastern Europe are much to look at. They're old and not very well kept up. And yeah, there will always be at least a few animals in cages much too small for them. But compared to other zoos in that region, the Leningrad/St. Petersburg Zoo isn't too bad. I used to live...
