Went there with my brother-in-law, who lives in Moscow and is fluent in Russian language. Sanduny is a high class banya, and reckoned as the best in Moscow. We paid entrance tickets, but did not get any explanation about how to act or what to do inside. We came into a room that looked like a waiting room. This was... More

I read all about this place in Lonely Planet and I was so excited to go. I just finished the Trans Siberian and was desperate for a wonderful traditional Banya after spending weeks in Siberia. I got my ticket (like $60) and went and checked my coat in. I walked in and I had no idea what to do from... More

Sandyny that’s unforgettable experience and full joy. After treatment you will feel like new born (you should definitely try services like “uslugi parilshika” :) - kind of massage inside of sauna) Sanduny that’s much more then just sauna. There is room where you can eat, drink beer and meet lot of interesting people. I recomend local home made beer (Sanduny)... More

For those who likes a wet steam, full range of bathing service, old decor and a good company. Nothing special to me but all the fans of the Russian banya love it very much. Expensive and prestigious in comparison with a lot of other Moscow banyas. More

Had a free night on thursday, which is considered the beginning of the weekend in Moscow, so I decided to check this place out. Took the upscale area (don't compromise on that). The place was quite packed, mostly locals, good spirits. was there ~3 hours, ended up spending ~6000 RUB including the full package - brach whipping, thorough soap massage,... More

If you like a sauna, don't mind getting naked, whipped by other naked men and then sitting around having a beer then this is just for you. It was recommended in a guide book, so thought we would give it a try and it was great. You have a few different options in price ranging from 1200rubles to 2500rubles and... More

The extensive list of honored guests at this famed bath house should give some indication of its cult status as Moscow premier bath house.--John Trovolta, Naomi Campbell, Pippen, Charlotte Sarkozy....so much that it protected by the Govt as a heritage site. For the uninitiated, a sauna session at the Sanduny can be a life-changing affair, for the fainted hearted, it... More
