There is really only one part,of this, house that is truly amazing and that is the staircase. The rest is more ordinary and really can't compare to Gaudi in Barcelona. Stop in if you are in the neighborhood.

Gorky's House is inside a magnificent Art Nouveau building and is worth visiting if only for the amazing architecture of the house. The exhibition seems like it had experienced better days, everything seemed a bit dusty. There are descriptions of each room available in the rooms in various languages, quite detailed and informative. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Very interesting, stunning furniture with everything left how it was. Information cards in all languages to assist you as you go, and it's all for free. Well worth a visit if you have a few hours to burn in Moscow.
Very interesting the house where Gorky lived. It is certainly a touch of history, very dark and kept in its original format. There are information cards with various languages in each room to assist you as you go around.

Extraordinary example of art nouveau architecture. The staircase appears in almost every book on the subject. What they don't show is the large jasper column at the top of the stairs with the huge, silver capital carved with giant reptiles! There is so much more to see, both in the interior and exterior. . Also, Maxim Gorky was an interesting...

There are a few negatives however. The place...
