On a bright sunny day we attended the Armoury Museum within the Kremlin in Moscow. We only managed to visit the first floor exhibits to view the costumes of the period. Peter the Greats boots certainly showed the size of the man. The various Crowns covered in jewels belied the amount expended upon pomp and ceremony. The display of carriages... More

The jewels on display were incredible, very impressive and well worth the time to stand in line to get in. The collection is one of the finest in the world, in my humble opinion. The see jeweled crowns used from Catherine The Great was a real treat. It is a must see.

On a recent trip to Moscow we visited The Armoury which is situated in the grounds of The Kremlin. This is an old museum which has some very opulent exhibits including various very old carriages, one of which was given as a gift from James the 6th of Scotland. Most of the exhibits give information in both English and Russian... More

We did this as part of a tour to the Kremlin Cathedrals, you don't have to do both, but I would recommend doing them at the same time. Armoury only tickets are not purchased at the Kremlin ticket office you need to go the Kremlin Exit to buy your timed entry tickets.

Within the walls of the Kremlin is the Armoury Chamber, which houses carriages, state regalia, ceremonial tsar's vestments and coronation dress as well as Russian Orthodox vestments and Russian gold and silver plate. The richness is breathtaking, but the crowds, especially if you arrive at the same time as a school group, can slow down your visit so allow yourself... More

We almost didn't do this tour because of our busy schedule but we are so glad we did. The priceless treasures that await you are beyond word. We mistakenly thought that "Armory" met weaponry but not so. Museum filled with silver, gold and jewel encrusted icons, chalices, serving pieces.....and Faberge eggs and much more. Nicely tucked away at the far... More

The lines can be confusing but the museum is worth the effort. A wonderful look at so much history from the carriages to the eggs.

WOW, this place is a must for people who like anything really. When I first got my ticket I went over to drop my bag off at the baggage drop off under the Kremlin entry... NO NEED TO. There is a bag drop of inside the Armoury. I did the armoury without the head set rental, which was 100Rub I... More

Varied collection of items assembled from Russian royalty and nobility. We found the carriages, including one so big it couldn't sensibly be pulled, and the Faberge eggs of most interest. Although the clothes and crowns may appeal to others.

Beautiful, outstanding, mind blowing collection of artifacts, jewels, clothes, crowns, thrones, and carriages. One of the highlights of Moscow.
