Take your camera. This is a stunning building right in the heart of Moscow. You see it as a backdrop on the BBC News reports from Moscow but only when you are here can you really appreciate the size and magnificence of the place. Do not miss when visiting Moscow.
A very pretty church, both inside and out. Worth a detour and definitely a "must see" in tandem with the Kremlin. On a sunny day the vivaciousness of the outside colours change with the transit of the sun.
It's extremely pretty on the outside and I was rather sceptical about what we would find inside but it certainly didn't disappoint. Very ornate and beautifully decorated throughout. Experience was heightened by a quartet singing traditional Russian religious music. No queue to speak of at opening time (11am) and very reasonable entrance fee with no additional charge for taking pictures.
I would recommend to buy a ticket (100 Rubels for students) in order to visit the inside of the church which has a unique structure with its seperated towers and coulourful walls! During my visit there even was a male choir singing...! Beautiful!!!
Certainly one of the "must sees" of any trip to Moscow. You can actually get a better photo if you walk thru Red Square and head on down towards the river.
A must, wonderful place to visit and take pictures. It s very accesible, right outside the Red Square
The brilliant colours of the domes in the varying sunlight throughout the day and night are a must on the traveller's list.
The Gum department store, which must be an equivalent to Harrods in terms of quality and size, is a separate venue adjacent to Red Square and has the necessary bathroom and feeding stops.
Sunset is about 9pm at...

This was one of the reasons I wanted to visit Moscow and St Basil's is a spectacular sight. More like a fairy tale castle than a church really, but one of those "must see" sights.
After many many years of dreaming of standing in Red Square and looking at St Basil's, I finally did it! What an amazing experience. It's smaller than you think, however the colours and shapes are just as vivid as you would expect.
You have to pay 50 rbls each to enter but this is money well spent. We did downstairs...
