This is a true icon of Russia. The building is unique and its best viewed late at night when the square is deserted and theCathedral is lit up. Worth the visit.
This was my favourite part of Moscow- definitely worth a look! I had seen pictures, but it was so much better in real life.
If you ask anyone to describe what they think Moscow looks like, this is the building they'll tell you about. The Cathedral's onion domes are world famous, and they look even more spectacular in real life!
It's hard to believe this building is real, it seems like something out of Disneyland with its bright colors and amazing spires. I wish I had the opportunity to see it inside, but we did get to see it at night while all lit up and that was an experience in itself.
Can't stress how beautiful this place is, both inside & out, but looking up at all the beautiful walls, ceilings, chandeliers, iconistases etc really gives you a bad back. To appreciate it, you need to allow plenty of time, don't think you can get round in half an hour, you could spend hours in all the different chapels, cathedrals, corridors... More
Wow. Simply breathtaking. No pictures/photographs do this justice. Highly recommend visiting from outside but inside too. Beautiful choir singing at time of visit. Unfortunately can't take pictures
You cant say that you have been Moscow unless you have been to St. Basil. It has become like the face of Moscow and it is easily located being next to the kremlin. The place as much as shines from outside , do the same inside as well but in a very confined and short measures as it is not... More
St. Basil's Cathedral (Pokrovsky Sobor) was removed? Before it located at central at the Red square. St. Basil's Cathedral has original russian beatiful multicolored domes. You need see it!
If you know anything about Russia you have to of heard about St Basils very iconic very beautiful. It is situated right next to the Kremlin and at the end of red square so its very easy to find. The outside is colourful and the architecture beautiful. Well worth a look
