This ancestral house has more character than any of the other buildings in the area. The staff are very aware of its' features, the collections have such personal insights and the owner has contributed to the community atmosphere through building awareness of Parian history. This house, first built in the 1600s by a Chinese merchant, has been continually owned and inhabited by members of the same family since then. Can't believe the rickety stair still hold the tourists who visit this house regularly. It is 337 years old owned by the Yap-Florido whose eldest daughter married a Sandiego. Many generations lived here. With its vicinity to a university, it became a dormitory once. In colon street, the oldest street in the Phil, resides the Yap-Sandiego ancestral house. The fee is affordable. The care taker, which is kuya ariel, is so nice to us. He accompanied us in the house and even gave us background about the old things that we see. He is so accomodating and became our instant photographer.hehe..Good job kuya ariel..hope... More
