Okay, this is a late review. I just need to select a date for this to be posted. The first and last time I was here was way back in 2009 when I visited my fiancee's family to ask their permission to marry their daughter. I was really amazed that all you need to do is to drive down to... More

Few minutes boat ride from Davao City and you will enjoy the natural white sand beach.. This is the place where you can relax and de-stress after a stressful week of work.

Davao city has really lots to offer (compared to the city where I live), Davaoenos are really lucky. One such attraction frequented by local and international tourists is the long line of beaches in Samal Island, where it can be reached for at least 10 minutes by a ferry. When you reach the place, you'd wish you could have planned... More

Samal Island is more than beaches. There are waterfalls, bat caves, mountain bike trails, pizza (Precious Garden), a fantastic sunset view of Davao City from a ridge. I like the fact that you can step out of an airconditioned mall and be in a rural setting in 35 minutes (15 minutes to the pier in Sasa, 20 minutes ferry crossing... More

My title speaks for itself.... It was definitely an awesome vacation even just for 1 day. We spend the whole day at Paradise Island Resort and Beach Park. The water is amazingly cold despite the intense heat for the sun.. Kids will love the beach with all the available rides that they can choose like boat paddling, canoeing and more.... More

Samal is really a marvellous place. It's near the city and very easy to reach and the beaches are really clean and well maintained. i just hope it will continue like this also in the future and not too much human pollution and explotations. If you go to Davao city is a must see!

The time that my friends and I drove to this island, the downpour is so heavy. The roads were so muddy and there is only one convenient store that you can find (near the port). The beach is so beautiful and peaceful. it's the place to relax and perfect for recollection. =)

Experience was indelible indeed, It was a big family gathering approximately we are like nearly close to 30 people on board, we hired a big banca that offers island hopping around the gulf, stopovers include: Snorkeling at the turquoise waters of Angel's Cove, then lunch at the pristine Babusanta Beach, heading off to take a plunge at the Coral Garden,... Samal Island swimming with the picturesque Mt. Apo (the tallest 2,954 meters mountain in our beloved land) for our background. – easily one of the reasons why I love Davao!

We rode a banca going to Samal Island. Its a ten minutes ride. There are many beaches in the island. There is a long stretch of walkway going to the shore. If you`re the type who`s afraid of heights, prepare yourself because there is no hand railing between you and the waters! Many beach resorts to choose from. Swimming is... More
