Have done several dives at this reef over the years & can say I have had a very good dive each time, have always seen lots of moray & turtles, its just a nice gentle dive with the usual reef fish in large shoals at times.

Many shoals of fish and two resident giant napolean wrasse. Current can be strong depending on moon and time of year. Usually only dive club there.
Be careful of the current & shallow water, wouldn't suggest novice snorkellers avoid it. Got some great photos of the drop off.
A perfect snorkeling exprience: trasparent water, nice corals and if you are lucky like us you can see mantas!!
There was lots to see and some very interesting spots, but in my opinion, I got a bored on both the dives we did there... mind you it is still a very good dive... just did not live up to the hype
Huge variety of fishes, including Moray Eels, Neopolitan Fish, Snappers and a Pallette Surgeon fish aka Dory from 'Finding Nemo'.
One of the best reefs we visited with many different fish and amazing coral. Mantas and Sharks and even Turtles
I was staying on Maafushi island on South Male atoll. The hotel manager arranged a snorkelling excursion to what he called "Banana Reef",and even after we showed him the real Banana Reef on a map, he insisted that his was the only Banana Reef. It is something of a scam, although there were a lot of pretty fish at this...
