We had a short tour around some plants, walked the canopy walkway (little to see and very short) then went to the Poring hot springs, which were lots of small bath tubs which took a lifetime to fill. We love the botanical garden walk and the nice picturesque point where you can take pictures of Mt. Kinabalu. It's quite cold and best bring your trekking shoes along. More

My advice would be to skip the trails around the park HQ and go straight up to Timpohon Gate and trek the Summit Trail. It's gorgeous! More

Well worth a visit. Walk half a mile or so from the car park up into the cloud forest. There are a succession of suspended rope and wooden swaying walkways through clouds and forest.
