Nice and not over-crowded. Limited beach area, though. There are drinks & food on the island, although we brought our own to avoid over-charging. More

very nice island for 1 day trip from KK for about 23RM (plus ferry terminal fee 7,50 and 10 RM Park Entrance fee). In south west corner on the island, near the stones you can find a good spot for snorkeling. Theres a smal coral garden (everywhere else corals are damaged because they were using dynamits for fishing! :( ) More

i just got back from snorkelling in the philippines which of course, in my opinion is amazing for snorkelling. I did get to see some cool fish here though... lion fish, scorpion fish and so much more! i highly suggest coming here if you want to swim, sun bathe and snorkel. its cheap and well worth the money. Snorkeling is a must to do besides that there isnt much things to do on this island. Fishes are lesser here as compared to Manukan Island but the fishes are prettier with rainbow colours. Little corals perhaps it may be damaged by pollution or humans dumping into the sea. You may opt to do island hopping to manukan and sapi... More

I was first here in 1996 and thought how incredible it was to have such wonderful fan and branch corals so close to such a large metropolis like KK. Sadly the boatloads of people unable to swim have succeeded in them stomping all over the branch and fan corals and there are none. There are some corals - but it... More

We choose Mamutik after a fair bit of consultation about best coral and best snorkelling spots. In summary it was OK and nothing more - too much destruction of coral , not a lot of fish varieties. I have been spolit - I have been to the Great Barrier Reef More

The water temperature on Mamutik was for a few C higher,,, so it was impossible to cool down. The beer and jiuces were to cool down. Nice place, but if you have a reliable transportation!!! We waited 2 hours for our boat, missed our but to Kinabalu park... wasn't really nice experience More

Pleasant and idyllic white sand with schools of fishes swimming at the jetty and edges of the beach. Not that colorful the fishes maybe but is pleasant to watch. Herewith tour guides tend to offer buffet lunch but the meals are not hot as the food is brought to the island from the mainland. The spread are average if one... More
