We had heard about this from our stay at the Pacific Sutera which turns out to be the operator of this sight. It's a little bit steeper than I'd prefer to pay $270 ringit but these sorts of thing you only get that once chance to do it at the time and place so what the heck. Check-in to the... More

Staying at Shangri La hotel nearby, had heard about this prior to leaving and had pre booked, as it only runs on selected days. As our boys ( and Dad too) love old steam trains, this was a great adventure to go on. It was a steamy, hot day, so we felt for the guys up front, but the crew... More

There are basically no sights, the places were the train stops are not interesting. The food is quite good, but it's definitely not worth the money. z I'm writing this review while still on the train, so I don't forget about doing it later and allow some more people to fall into this trap. More

This is an absolute must when you are in KK. The restoration of the steam train is authentic while being very comfortable. One of the few woodfired steam trains operating in the world - there's plenty of reasons to dedicate a day to this piece of history. The seating is very personalized allowing two of you to sit opposite each... More

What a great experience! All the staff are in colonial period 'costume' and it is five star treatment all the way - very decadent. We had one staff member per beautifully restored and maintained carriage pulled by a steam engine, and were very spoilt with a wonderful breakfast, lunch and drinks. As we slowly chugged though the KK landscape, we... More

I've always loved steam trains so the idea of a trip back in time to celebrate my birthday really appealed. We all enjoyed the experience and the crew really threw themselves into it and looked so smart in their vintage uniforms. OK the seating arrangements are a bit snug for robust Europeans, but that all added to the fun and... More
