This is a great place to visit. The staff are all very friendly and make the whole experience very enjoyable. There are some hands on exhibits like trying your hand at using a blowpipe and preparing some of your lunch with bamboo cooking. I found it amazing how the local tribes differed so much and what they could not do... More

The experience at the village was something I will remember for a long long time. All of the young natives of the village still use all the trades they have learnt all their lives, and the highlight was the last tribe we visited and the cultural village dancing we all joined in. More

Visited Mari Mari Cultural Village an average of 10 times. My first visit was amazing, love every bit of it. All dancers and performers are great. I always tell others that i learned a lot about Sabah through my visit. But as time goes by, the tour duration seems to have been cut short. All seems to be rushed through.... More

Well, if you travel and trek a lot, you will probably be bored. But the people there are very friendly and they put a good effort. You can find out a few things about the locals and their life before the globalization :). And you can take part in some of the activities and watch a small show, before quick... More

We went for the 'high tea' trip. It was great fun - Adam is mad but obviously loves his job, particularly the copious amounts of rice wine tasting! It was great to see the different tribal homes. Adam was part of the Dusun tribe, the first home you see. We got to try the rice wine, taste the honey that... More

I was so lucky to visit the Mari Mari village, our guide young Adam was excellant, nothing was too much worry, I really could have wandered thru the place all day, all the different ethnic groups, the show was probably the best that I saw the entire trip, the 'munchies' where good as well, and thoughly enjoyed the coconut drinks... Whilst the Mari Mari Village has been constructed for the tourist it does a good job in illustrating village life for the various tribes of Sabah. Worth a visit - and they serve a decent lunch. More
