We visited the Orangutan Sanctuary, otherwise known as 'Monkey Island' with three young children. It was a short boat trip of only 20 minutes and the kids loved the anticipation of approaching the Island that had all the monkeys! My family went today to Monkey Beach for the boat ride, fishing and BBQ lunch. The boat ride was 80 rgt but took only 10 minutes each way. The kids liked the 1 hour fishing option (150 ringit) before being dropped off on the beach for the BBQ but the fishing was cut short as they got an urgent call... More

We paid MYR 105 per person, for a day trip (organised by ParkRoyal Hotel) to the famous "Monkey Beach" (Penang). What we saw was just astounding. The beach and the surrounding areas were dirty and full of rubbish. The smell of oil was in the air, as the empty engine oil containers floated in the water. We saw the monkeys... More

Monkey Island was beautiful, the beach was amazing, we were dropped off there in the morning and picked up in the evening, dont take any valuables or they will be up a tree with monkeys. Loved it. More
