Dont bother going to this so called beach. Its a tiny strip of, yes black, sand. But thats it. Nothing more, so spend your time on other, real beaches.
The pictures on the map were more impressive than the actual place. These pictures here show everything...it is a beach with black sand, a few sign posts explaining it and that's it. I wouldn't recommend going to anyone.
Been there on Nov 2010. We were really excited before going there cause we thought we are gonna see something different. Unfortunately, i didn't get the place. Sands are black but the beach was dirty and empty and there were no activities around it. You can have a stop here only if you are passing this place.
I hope this beach is removed from attraction list! It doesn't deserve to be listed as well. Its a waste of time to drive all the way to this beach... we expected a shore of black sand unfortunately what we got to see dirt coast with off white sand and little black sand scattered. its not a pleasant view to... I spent nearly like $40 on a round trip taxi to visit this attraction. All I found was an artificial looking dirty beach where the normal white sands are mixed with some black sands with rubbish everywhere, forget about swimming in that area. Even the photos turned out ugly, as if sewers are running on that beach. Don't come here.
Small beach with black sand, no body there in afternoon. Do not feel to enjoy at the beach. Some fisherman boats in the sea. A small shopping complex for gifts and souvenirs. Not advising to spend your paid time.
The patch of the beach which is open to the public is smaller than the shopping arcade in front which is smaller than the parking lot. Basically they expect lot of bus operators to get tourist to this place which is absolute waste of time. Yes as per the info available it says that this is a unique phenomenon, but... More
there is nothing special at the beach and you cant swim there as water is dirty. It definitely not worth half an hour of driving. But many tourists come to see and shop in all the stalls around
The black sand is pretty, especially the contrast with the golden sand. The view to the right of the beach is very old-world with fishing boats etc. however the view to the left is spoilt by the concrete plant. Still worth a look if you're in the area. But don't make a special trip.
Beach is pretty poor, not really black, the outlook isn't too bad. Some shops and toilets - the toilets are disgusting however. Don't bother making a special journey but if you're passing it's worth a quick stop.
