It is the most beautiful church I ever seen. It was built without any nails and open for everybody. It is also very beautiful inside and very calming. Lovely place!

A trip to Almaty will not be complete without seeing Zenkov Cathedral inside and out. Easily one of the most beautiful Orthodox churches I've ever been in.

One of few pre-Soviet era buildings left in Almaty, this cathedral is located in attractive park. Cathedral was build from wood without using a single nail and it is claimed to be the second tallest wooden building in the world.
