I really enjoyed visiting the Akashi Kaikyo bridge. You can go inside the bridge where there are informative displays,a walkway, and a cafe. It's true I'm especially interested in bridges/tunnels/engineer projects, but I think anyone would enjoy going. This is the longest suspension bridge in the world and you'll definitely realize it once your're approaching and cross the bridge. Despite this, you'll quickly cross the bridge and chalk up the experience as "that's nice", but knowing the history of the bridge and why it was built should be understood to get a better appreciation for the Akashi bridge....
