Easy place to get to with lots of different kinds of animals. Completely free to enter and there's a petting park which allows you to touch cute little chicks, small mice and rabbits. A particular favorite of children, and I have to admit it was pretty exciting for me to hold a jumping crazy little mouse in my hands.

You can't beat a free Zoo. We went here before a Yokohama baseball game and wish we had more time to spend at the zoo. It was about a 20-25 minute walk from the Yokohama Stadium. There are a lot of different animals to include monkey's, birds, a lion, a tiger, snakes, turtles, a panther, a bear, and a bunch...

Being a San Diego native, I have a pretty high standard for animal parks. That said, I was surprised at the collection and size of this zoo considering it's free (well, unless you pay Yokohama city taxes of course ;)
Some highlights:
-Lesser pandas! According to Wikipedia, there are less than 2,500 of these left in the world. Very cute!...
