look, if you have been taking a ropeway at the blackcomb or the peak2peak at canada, or even the simplest ropeway at hongkong, you will be freaked out. this place is ancient.
the steel all rust, and it is dangerous. the place is not taken care off. and its only 6 of us and group from singapore who went there...

We were lucky and had great weather , we could see Mount Fuji which doesn't happen often in March.
At the top you can walk and visit a shrine or just walk around and enjoy the scenery.

sadly the day i was in Hakone and went on this ropeway is was extremely foggy and we couldn't even see the tip of Mt. Fuji. half way up to the top all you could see was fog and barely the trees at the bottom and when we got to the top and got out it was freezing! but me...
