Probably the first aerial tramway I've ever seen that takes you DOWN to your destination.
Views are nice, particularly on a clear day, and the shrine at the bottom is interesting enough.
The shops and boarding area at the top (start and finish) are atrocious, but the free parking was appreciated.

Ropeway ride itself has the magnificent and thrilling view but Nihondaira Plateau itself I have to warn a few things for tourists. Despite the information description that says it is the mountain top of Udoyama actually it is not the highest peak. The highest peak is in the lush mountain nearby but direct route from the Nihindaira observatory is closed....
