You can see a range of kimonos on display here and see videos on how they were produced. An artist was present when we were there painting a kimono so you can see the actual process in action. There was also a very interesting video about the history of Kaga Yuzen kimonos and how antique kimonos can be remade. Tools... More

“Gorgeous Displays - A Highlight”

We really liked this place. Sort of small but extremely attractive displays of gorgeous materials. I wish I had the money to buy a bunch of this stuff. If you are into beautiful crafts then you will find this place very rewarding. A nice way to relax after pounding the pavement all day. More

i always wonder how kimonos are made. this place actually thoroughly explain the entire process in video format (even though it is shown in japanese only, but can see figure out what it is all about since you would have read the step-by-step photos in English by the hallway before entering the video room) and a live professional artist demonstration.... More

This center is like a museum to display both of old and new Kaga-Yuzen Kimono. You can see some artists designing Kimono textiles and also can try to make your own Kaga-Yuzen handkerchief as well.
