I think anyone visiting Nagoya should stop by the tower to get a full view of the city. Yes, it's a tourist stop, but it's so interesting to see the city from above--the school yards, the shopping streets, the parks, etc. You don't need to stay long, so it's worth it even if you've just got 30 minutes.
