A really beautiful park, we return here as frequently as we can - just to enjoy the environment and the wildlife. More

This is a beautiful NP and the views from Cecil Rhodes grave site are incredible. Make sure you get someone who will talk you through the history of the place. More

The Matobos have such variety, with viewpoints such as that by Rhodes' grave and huge balancing rocks but the high spots are the many caves with ancient paintings. The accessibility and clarity, albeit with some distance between them, provide great photo opportunities - and you can often see the real thing later! More

Beautiful National Park - I loved the granite koppies and particularly the bushman paintings in a number of the shelters. More

We did several trips into the park. Some guided by the guide of Amalinda Camp, some by the local rangers from the park. All the tours were great with excellent view of all type of game - but also highly educational information about the indigenous plants and habits. More

Spent a good day driving around the park and relaxing at Maleme dam. There are superb rock paintings which are worth the very hairy drive to see. Staff very helpful with advice. Not much game at midday More

Matobo National Park (a.k.a. Matopos) is a fantastic day trip destination from Bulawayo. The park features amazing rock formations that offer views of beautiful vistas. Don't miss the view from "The Top of the World" where Cecil John Rhodes, founder of Rhodesia, is buried. The bushmen cave drawings are also worth the climb to find. We visited the park last... More
