I thought we would enjoy this trip to see the fossils. We were both very disappointed and it was full of over 40 shops selling dead sea creatures and shells. I actually started to feel guilty every time we went out for a bite and I wanted to order seafood. Lots of mean looks from the local muslim population there... More

You can taake the public transportation (bus) from Krabi Town to Fossil Shell (60 THB) or from AoNang (30 THB). You had also to pay a entree fee at the Fossil Shell, about 50 THB, ther are a lot of fossil to look at, had seen so manny, and its the only place in the Krabi area you can see... More

Lots of little souvenir shops, but really not much else to see. Best viewed during low tide, but still there just isn't much here. More

Unless you are seriously in to fossils and shells, don't bother. If you are in to them make sure the tides well out before you go or you see nothing anyway. Shops are tacky and sell shell tat. Not impressed More

Not much to see, but nice shellworks that you can buy there. the bus dosent allways go the hole way down, only when you go there, but when you are going to leave you might have to walk a bit to the nearest busstation. More

Basically the whole thing is a big basar and really nothing at all to see about fossils. The fried banana at the corner is delicious. To pay the entrance fee of 200 is completely waste of money. More

Poor attraction not worth visiting. I am very interested in geology & so was looking forward to this. All it is is a small beach made up of slabs comprising old shells. Very little to see. The beach at Lyme Regis is better! More

It is expensive to go down to the actual place. (200 baht last time) and I was not so impressed. If you are really 'in' it, it is good, but otherwise it is not really worth the travel as there is enough to do in Krabi... More
