A very well kept cemetary only disppointment was that the grave records were not available to view. Other visitor advised that the records are often taken by oter visitors.

A solomn place but so peaceful - well worth visiting. nothing to dislike - if visiting graves is not for you just don't go.

This cemetery is a very clear reminder of the numbers who died creating the death railway. It is just so important to spend some time looking at the gravestones and the ages of the people who died.
Very well looked after, Neat clean. So many graves of so many young men, very sad place for ex-service people to visit. Very sad to read the ages of some very young soldiers who lost their lives over there.

The cemetary was built on the piece of land donated by the people of Thailand, to grant a proper burial ground for the hundreds and thousand of Prisoners of War (POW) who died during the construction of the railway line connecting Thailand to Burma, as part of the Japanese invasion, during WWII. Very touching, a must see.
We visited just after ANZAC Day so was very pleased to see how respected and well cared for, the fallen servicemen were.
We went as it was part of the tour it's a sad place to see so many graves but its very peaceful and Iam glad I went
