We took a taxi which took us to the top of the the hill. There is a temple which is OK. There is the usual dress code so if you don't have long pants and shirt being a man or covered shoulders and knees being a woman you won't be able to climb up the steps to see the temple.... More

The best thing was the views over Hua Hin - there are tourist shops at the top as well as a Temple and lots of monkeys. More

Nice place to see if not for the temple and numerous monkeys but for the wonderful views along the coast past Hua Hin. The steps to the temple are quite long and steep and might not be for people who have a fear of heights. Several shops to browse through and then a short walk down the road to the... More

its a typical Thai local temple situation. quite dirty and unkempt around but the monkeys are a fun addition to give you a few pics to talk about! a good view from the top and worth a walk up to see it. More

Don't go if you don't like monkeys!! Great views from the top of the steps to the temple though. More

Khao Takiab (monkey mountain) is a nice peaceful break from the hustle and bustle of nearby Hua Hin. The gold Buddha looking out over the ocean is impressive and from the Buddha's position at the foot of the mountain (or hill) you can work your merry way up the hill (fairly steep in parts) and en route pass a rather... Chopsticks hill (aka monkey mountain) is just around the corner from our holiday home and is a lovely way to spend the afternoon, meandering along the lane by the fishing boats , the road leads up to the temple and impressive golden buddha. There is also a lovely restaurant La Mer, with great views of Hua Hin and the vast... More

We like to see things a little off the beaten track.I priced up a half day trip then found a taxi driver who would take us for half the price.Khao Takiab is a small village about 10 min from the center of Hua Hin, it has a very old chinese temple and you can wander around the village homes, little... The huge standing golden buddha gazes serenely across the beach from the side of the hill. a few small eateries provide food and drinks to the twenty or thirty beach beds that line the water's edge. A very nice quiet place to while away another hot day. More

A bit trashy place, wild and dirty monkeys trying to steel your stuff.. Children must love it, but I was rather scared. More
