They light it up at night, so bring a tri-pod and a nice camera. No use paying the small fee to go closer to it, but it is only like $1 or so, so no biggie.

It looks like a simple structure but it is actually very scientific. It is across the street from Anjapji Pond so it is very easy to visit when walking back to town. The 362 stones use to build it represent the days in a year.

We found this attraction rather primitive and crude. Even if it were really an observatory (not a foregone conclusion).
