If you have a chance to be there, try this... roll a filled water bottle down the slope (apply some force like bowling). It will move down first then the bottle began to "hestitate", then it changes direction to move up the slope. It is really fun! More

Our tour agent drive us there and put the car on neutral and release the hand brake. Despite the road is up-sloping, the car still moves as if the road is going downwards! This road is nearby another attraction called Love Land...a must to go! More

Just optical illusion. We went early in the morning so there were no much crowd. Tourists were testing the slope with water and some with measuring tape. Tour buses and cars were very patient with curious visitors standing in the middle of the road. More

This is one road which really left my puzzled. The bus driver did turn off his enjoy but the bus still managed to roll on, to my eyes, the path was an up-sloping one. So how did the bus manage to move on its own? Does it mean the path is actually downwards sloping? This is just any other road... More

It's interesting to see and "be there" but not something you would kick yourself if you don't have the time to go. More

We took a cab and travel around Jeju. First: if you are intending to take a cab pls prepare your itinerary and let the driver know where you plan to go. 2nd: the driver will show you the mystery of the road. it seems that the bottle will roll to the steeper side of the road. bascially it is an... It was ur eyes who played trick! Discovered in the 70s, there are 4 such places in the whole of Jeju island. Your tour guide will reveal to you the "secret" of the road, so I won;t be here to soil your surprise. It's fun to try to walk backward (uphill) and fell more easier than downhill. More

My family was holiday in Jeju on 12 Dec 2011. One of the tourists spots where we visited is the Mysterious road. It really amazed us after we had seen in our own eyes and sitting in the car. The driver took us to place near to our our hotel Ocean Suite Hotel. He then switched off the engine of... More
