We visited in April ahead of the Summer rush and only had to share the beach with thousands, not millions of like minded souls. The beach is well setup with a minmum of commercial activity right on the beach, which makes for a more relaxed atmosphere. There are plenty of resturants behind the beach or on the western side of... More

Korea as a whole is not a beach holiday destination especially when you compare it to its south east asian neighbours. The atmosphere is nice though and there are tons of restaurants, coffee shops and bars (and convenient stores) to grab things you need or to hang out after the sunset. conveniently located on a subway line too. We only stayed overnight in Busan and didn't get to do anything on the first day since it was raining. Since we only had about 5 hours left to spend in Busan the next day before we move on to our next city, we had to choose our itinerary carefully. My friend and I decided we should visit Haeundae Beach... More

This beach may be extremely well loved by Koreans but by international standards it is pretty average. Whilst very long, the sand is a dirty light brown colour, the water is dirty and very flat. In summer it is extremely crowded!! Far superior beaches available in Australia, Thailand, Hawaii or Vietnam. More

Not the most attractive beach side resort I've ever seen - I wouldn't bother. More

nice beach close to eateries, cafes and the Busan Aquarium. Excellent relaxing spot after a day's work at the BEXCO convention center. More

Stopped here after a visit to Haedong Yonggunsa Temple. The beach is flanked by a whole row of hotels, and is a 10 min leisurely stroll from Haeundae subway station. The weather was still fairly cold, hence the beach was deserted. The views are not really anything to shout about, it probably made for a good relaxing walk if you... More
