Caesarea National Park is built from layers and layers of different periods. You can really feel the history by visiting this place. If you want to dig a little bit further, I've just added a detailed description for Caesarea National Park in my personal website. I've done a pretty intensive research for this little project and I hope it will... More

We were surprised at the scale of this complex of Roman ruins, far larger than anticipated. Easy to walk around, with good signage. We started our visit at the aqueduct, worked our way through the core city ruins and vast hippodrome, and finally the amphitheater. It was fun to imagine the many centuries of inhabitants and what their lives had... More

The complete ruin complex has been very well restored and the artifacts are well displayed. This restoration is no where as large as the others in the middle-east, but the best restored/preserved and presented. More

Caesarea's nature park with Roman antiquities is beautifully located at the seaside. Admission (at least, when we went in on Thu 5apr12 afternoon) was free. Easily to stroll, even for those with some handicap. However, the amphitheater (with a separate entrance) does require an entrance fee. More

Ceasarea national park is a great place to explore the ancient roman remains, and can be a good spot for a romantic walk or family time. other than the theather, which is a popular location for concerts, the sea side dining options are lovely (great ice cream )and history lovers will enjoy the interactive displays. Get there early as they close the ruins at odd times in the winter, but the restaurants are open till late. We watched the movie and uit was good, but the real fun was climbing all the ruins. Good food too More

I was very interested to go to Caesarea, but it seemed a bit complicate to arrive because I had no car. Finally, we decided to rent a day-tour to go to Caesarea (the archeologic site)-Rosh Hanikra-Akko-Haifa (only the gardens, the last floor) It was great and we have enough time to visit every site. It is not the first time... More

I have been visiting Caesarea for over 12 years and it still impresses me. The theater has been marvelously restored and still hosts live performances. But this is just the tip of the iceberg. The Israeli archeologists have been diligently working revealing what's left of this once huge city built by Herod. You will do yourself a disservice by not... More
