Excavated fairly recently but in great condition. Particulary liked stairs for horses! Tunnels not for claustraphobic but do if you can. Our tour was multilingual so rather rushed - choose guide in your language only if possible. More

Admission includes audio tour with 24 stops which provides detailed historic background. As there is little signage, the tour is a must to fill in details of this impressive monument still in surprisingly complete condition. Restoration on some of the halls is ongoing. More

Take it easy. Comfortable shoes. Go to the gardens near the police station at the entrance of the Crusader Halls. Have a cup of coffee from the machine (surprisingly good) and sit in the shade of beautiful trees. one of my favorite places in the world.Enjoy More

This is probably the most well preserved and complete crusader fortress that I have seen in Israel. There's a lot to see, it is well worth a visit. More

The visit of the Old Town may take 3 hours (including the visit of the Crusader's Hall and also the Templar's Tunnels. If you don't have any car and you want to go by your own, you have to go to Akko by train or bus, and then take a taxi or another bus to the old town. Public transport... More

This is a well preserved medieval fortress, which worth a visit if you are interested in Crusades times. The architecture is quite distinctive, with roman and gothic European stiles, meeting oriental stiles. In the heart of the fortress lies a Mosque and there are few interested churches too. It’s a good idea to leave your car in a parking outside... More
