Honestly Sam Po Kong is a building with full of history, we respect of the believed, but we cannot discover more than see the Big statue. Might be better if it is open for public with attraction or proper light to just take picture in front of the very nice building, that make we pay entry ticket for nothing. I... More

Originally established by a Chinese Muslim explorer, it is now shared by Indonesians of multiple religious denominations, including Muslims and Buddhists, and ethnicities, including Chinese... More

This is my second time visiting Sam Po Kong and I was very much dissapointed since there are some new rules & restrictions in this temple. When I was going there for the first time, there was only one single fare but now there are double fares for tourists wanting to go inside the temple. More

Renovated several years ago, brightfully painted, not far from Semarang center ....Since Semarang does not offer plenty tourism spot in town, you could arrange half day tour to capture Sam Po Kong, Lawang Sewu dan Gereja Blenduk. For the rest of the day you could go out of town. More

Entree fee about $2 restricted only for those who come for praying, non believer can still enjoy the site from the courtyard. The fee locket are quiet confusing they have one on the entrance... More

I'm pretty pleased with the Sam Po Kong development recent. They built many new buildings and facilities that makes this place more interesting. Unfortunately the different ticket fare that they offer to tourist/visitor makes access to many areas of Sam Po Kong Temple limited. More
