This really is somewhere that if in Bali/Ubud, you really should visit. My wife and I, and our 2 daughters of 5 and 3 ½ at the time really enjoyed it, and was a great experience for the family. For a great time there, allow 2 hours and simply listen to the advise on the TA board. No loose clothing,... More

The monkey forest requires a certain approach to enjoy. 10% of visitors who have a monkey land on them are bitten or scratched. So this is something to be avoided by not carrying ANY food. Even wrapped up and in your bag. That said, monkey watching is fascinating and the forest itself totally gorgeous. We stayed on the other side... More

The monkey's are very entertaining and so full of themselves. One grabbed onto my bag and took my shirt out thinking it was bananas. He dropped it once he realised it didn't fit him.

I have attended this attraction a number of times and every time there has been an incident of some form, items stolen by very aggressive monkeys, monkeys being aggressive with others and this time will be my very last time, totally unprovoked my husband was bitten by a monkey on the wrist. Even after the bite the monkey continued to... More

It is definitely worth visiting. Monkeys are very much interested in food, especially bananas. Don't try to hide if you have any. Elder monkeys take away bananas from younger ones. Don't try to prevent it otherwise monkey might attack you. Before going in we took off all jewelry and hide it. But it appeared to be that monkey were not... More

Fab attraction at a very low price, do not bother with a guide as really there is no need, you can spend as little or as long as you like in the park but all you really need is an hour. Be careful of food and drink, as the monkeys are very quick to steal anything you may have, one... More

The monkey forrest costs about 20,000 rp or aud $2ea to walk through. The forest attempts to keep the monkeys in their natural habitat, despite a huge human presence. Take a camera along - you're bound to run into a mother with her babies clinging. The monkeys are very intelligent. If they think you have food, they will heckle you... More
