The botanic garden is best travelled to by transport of some sort, as it is hidden down local roads. Its rather plain front hides a massive tropical garden behind that is landscaped on several levels. Coming into the garden I was disappointed by the garden structure I saw. It seemed an Australian reality garden show had been playing in there... More

We made a big effort to get to the Garden. We walked from Monkey Forest Road asking several shop assistants along the way how far to go. They all said 1 kilometer. This was half expected. We walked and walked. It is further away than all impressions gave us. Walking through another small village there were angry barking dogs. Thank... More

A botanical garden filled with native plants sounded wonderful, but in stead we had to pay more than any museum we had visited in Ubud, and entered a neglected, soulless park. I'm sure this was a gem in the past, but now, no flowers bloomed, everything was dirty and dry, and not taken care of. More

After seeing the grounds at other tourist attractions such as the Bird Park and the Marine and Wildlife Park etc. we had high expectations of the Botanic Garden. The attraction won an award in 2007 and it is obvious that much work has gone in to establishing the paths, ponds, plants and other features. Unfortunately, the gardens are not being... More

We read in a travel guide that this was a sight to see, but we were left very disappointed. It seemed run down and not taken care of. There was even garbage laying on the ground in several areas. I would steer clear and go somewhere like the Blanco Renaissance Museum as even their garden is better. More

We visited this place in Bali. Honestly speaking, the garden is beautiful with plants, trees and flowers built to make the scenery but there’s nothing so special. If you have no place to go and need to rest a bit, this could be a right choice somehow. If not, just don’t ever do it, lol! More

I love flowers, and I really wanted to get to the botanic garden. It's pretty easy to find, a pleasant 1 mile walk from the main street in Ubud with a sign to point which street to go down and a big sign when you get there, and you get to go past a lot of local flavor on the... More

Found this recommended as a budget thing to do in ubud and could not have been more disappointed. We walked from monkey forest street which took about 30 minutes along a thin road. Once there the place is very run down, it cost 50,000 rupiah which is extortionate for such a badly kept place. It was like walking round somewhere... More

This botanical garden has clearly not had any attention in a very very long time. Do not waste your time or money on this. More

We visited in October 2010. The car park area is a little untildy....never mind we thought & duly paid for our tickets. Once inside & down a few steps a piece of metal gate lay partly on the pathway, large plastc pots were strewn around holding goodness knows what. Our general impression is - what a mess! Of course taming... More
