I loved visiting Gunung Kawi, it's not so far from Ubud, maybe a 15 mins drive. The nature surrounding these tombs is so beautiful! Really a must see!

Gunung Kawi is Bali at its best. The walk to the temple is beautiful and you will see Balinese farmers face to face as they work amongs the rice paddies. You should be in good shape to take the hundreds of steps which take you down to the river temple and back up to your vehicle. The temple is very...

Better to go to Gunung Kawi at the beginning of your trip. Reason being that there are 300 over steps to take to reach to the temples which is built in the mountains.
The temples are carved into the limestones and it is a big area where you can walk around from one temple to the next. One wonders on...
