The zoo was great in that it wasn't too big, you just followed one path to see everything. All the animals are VERY close, although some of them did look a little sad and lonely. There was a gorgeous orangutan but he was all by himself. Also the lion cub that was used to have photos also looked quite sad.... More

I have been here for many times, and almost each time I come I find something new! Probably their biggest competitor is Bali Safari & Marine Park, but they truly worked hard to be better! Thumbs up for Bali Zoo, now we may have our meal at the restaurant across the lions open air cage! We can see the lions... More

I loved this park and have never been so close to animals in my life. It's a zoo set in the rainforest, its not the biggest park in the world , so what. I did the elephant ride for 15 mins, that is long enough. Animals sense your character and thats what I found amazing. The animals were very healthy... More

We rode the elephants and got to hold and feed the birds, monkeys, a tiger a many more. Made for some gorgeous pictures and unforgettable memories! We did find it quite expensive though and as an animal lover, I found myself trying to turn a blind eye to some of the animals living conditions which was hard to see..

I went there with my girlfriend on a Sunday afternoon. Driving from Sanur, we stopped on the side of the road to look on the map, when a friendly guy stopped to show us the way (his brother works there and he wanted to show us some silver shops after our visit). Once inside, we had a great time being... More

As soon as I leant riding elephants in Bali was a thing I wanted to do it. Desperately. And where better than at Bali Zoo?  We organized for the driver to pick us up straight from our hotel and he arrived early. He had no problems with waiting around for us to finish breakfast and the drive there was swift... More

I am not happy about having to write of my experience, however, if you are contemplating an elephant ride at the Bali Zoo, or elsewhere, there are several things that one should know. Everybody loves elephants and I am no exception. Those my age and older remember riding on an elephant at the Melbourne Zoo, therefore, I was immensely looking... More

We took our teenaged sons here and they really enjoyed the close proximity to all the animals and especially the feeding activities whereby you purchased fruit to feed quite a range of different animals. Deer, goats, rabbits, guinea pigs and so many more. The gardens are lush, tropical and the zoo has a very good range of exotic, native and... More

I went there with my adult daughter one hot afternoon. As we had full intention of riding on the elephant so we waited for our ride first before venturing into their zoo. What was amazing about the park was the close proximity between you and the animals. We could actually see the eyelids of animals, so amazing! Our ride on... More
