We visited Sunderbans National Park in March with a tour booked at Sunderbans Tiger Camp. The national park was an interesting location in a mangrove forest. It's difficult to spot a lot of wildlife because you are limited to riding on a boat in a waterway while all the animals have a huge area to roam in. But if you... More

A fasciniating place. The staff can't do enough to be friendly and helpful, the food is excellent, the evening has local entertainment, the cottages are comfortable, the grounds are beautiful. Although we didn't see much in the way of mammalian wildlife the variety of birds is amazing and the cruises are relaxing. The visit to the local village is highly... More

We would not recommend the Park to anyone looking for wildlife as we could not see much.Sightings are extremely poor and the park definitely needs a lot of protection. We were in the park for around 5+6 hours with sightings of only a monkey.a couple of birds and a monitor lizard. It could be a good weekend break for people living in... Tucked away to the south of Kolkata, Sunderbans forest wears several feathers in the cap - a natioanl park, a tiger reserve, a biosphere reserve, and a UNESCO world heritage site. Shared with Bangladesh, it is the largest mangrove forest in the world and the only one where the tiger resides. It is very unlike other forests or tiger reserves... More

A place where every worries comes to rest, a new exploration begins with mother nature. A place so calm and quiet you could hear your own heartbeat. Once visited will surely make one feel the indulgence of natures beauty. Be prepared from mosquitoes, insects from the wild. Dive inside the green mangroves, listen to the birds, water gushing out.. Backpacking... More

Sundarbans is a huge delta and spreads over India (West Bengal) and largely Bangladesh as well. This NAtional Park is famous for being the original home of the Royal Bengal Tiger, though the chances of spotting it in action is truly rare. The area offers much more to the learned traveler than just the thrill of excitement. The undiluted beauty... More

Last July my family and I spent a month in India. One of the highlights of our trip was the 3 days we spent in Sunderbans with Rupak visiting the tiger sanctuary and the villagers. Even though we did not see tigers, crocodiles or dolphins, the sanctuary was beautiful and the lizards, deer and many birds were well worth the... More

Soooo...I consider myself a very independent person and would normally turn my nose up at the idea of enlisting a tour guide, but after getting a personal tour of Calcutta from Rupak Chatterjee at Crazy Wanderers, I realized what I was missing. With Crazy Wanderers, it was like someone said "Open Sesame" to the entire city...instead of wandering around in... More

My sister and I travelled in the Sunderbarns in December 2010 with Rupak and the Crazy Wanderers. It was a fantastic trip - these guys are extremely passionate and conscientious guides and I felt we got a totally different experience with the Crazy Wanderers. The following weekend Rupak also took us on a tour of Kolkata which was amazing, and... More
